Wahclella Falls

Yesterday we went to a place called Wahclella Falls which is about an hours drive out of Portland.

First port of call was lunch which we had at the Bonneville Dam.

Not to be put off by the rain, Ben managed to cook our lunch in the downpour.

We then walked on to the falls which is a two mile round trip.

This probably has to be the most special place we've been to yet. The walk is just lovely as you walk up the side of the river but the path is very narrow and lots of steep drop offs. I have to admit I was very nervous the whole time and I was convinced we were going to lose one of the kids off the side. They did very well though and managed to do the whole trail with hardly a moan between them and Maxi managed about 3/4 of it.

This is definitely a place to bring our visitors, just be prepared for a bit of a hike.
