Spring is on its way.....

The daffodils are starting to come through, just a shame we don't get the nice spring weather like home but summer is just around the corner and that certainly makes up for it.

Lovely weather for ducks.....

It's been raining constantly for the last few days so our bike path has turned into a bit of a swamp.

Max thought it was great fun being towed through this giant puddle....

There has been a landslide here and a few trees had slid down last week.

Little Belles

The girls were very excited this week as they got to try on their outfits for the ballet show 'Petite Princesses'.  They are going to be 'Little Belles' and their faces were a picture when they got to see the yellow leotards and tutus......

Pinewood Derby......

Ben and Jonah entered their car in the Scouts Pinewood Derby race.  All the scouts were given a block of wood at Christmas and they had to make it into their racing car.  It's all very technical and you can add weights to make the car go faster but you're not allowed to use lubricants on the wheels.  Jonah was very pleased with his efforts but sadly he didn't win any prizes this year.  I think Ben will be trying harder next year..........

The tooth fairy strikes again.......

Madeleine lost her first tooth last week with a little help from her sister.  I don't think it was quite ready to fall out but Olivia whacked her in the face with a torch and that was then end of the tooth.  There was lots of blood and a very upset little girl so I think the tooth fairy felt a little bit sad for Madeleine and left her a whopping great five dollars!!!!

Harlem Globetrotters

Jonah was a very lucky boy and got to see the Harlem Globetrotters with the Boy Scouts.  We really enjoyed it even though it was very staged, however all the kids thought it was brilliant and I have to say the tricks were very good and the Globetrotters are very entertaining.  Just don't sit in the front row as they made some poor mum get up and dance, I think both Jonah and I would've been mortified if I had been picked......

His first look at the Rose Quarter Stadium

With his very own Globetrotters basketball!!

Perfect beach weather......

We took Ben's parents to the beach and we were quite surprised when we hit the hills and found all this snow!!!

We didn't expect there to be this much snow on the way there so we had to leave early as the pass was getting very icy.  There were quite a few cars that had skidded off the road and ended up in a snow pile but  I have to say the Americans do a great job of keeping the roads clear.

Hello.......

Sorry I've been away for a while but Ben's parents have been to visit and the time just flies by.  We all had a lovely time, especially the kids and they were very sad to see their Glou and G'pa leave.  I'll have to update you all on what's been happening with us over the last couple of weeks.
